The Pricing Strategy Team Manager is a leader responsible for defining and managing the company's pricing and margin strategy to maximize profitability while strengthening market competitiveness. The role leads a team of professionals and plays a critical role in shaping segmentation, price perception, and cross-functional commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Margin Strategy

Define, own, and continuously refine the company-wide pricing and margin strategy aligned with overall business and financial objectives
Set clear margin and pricing guardrails to balance growth, competitiveness, and profitability
Translate strategic objectives into category-, segment-, and offer-level pricing frameworks

Segmentation Management

Oversee pricing and offer management across categories, customer segments, and channels
Define segmentation logic and pricing differentiation based on customer value, willingness to pay, and competitive dynamics
Ensure coherence between base pricing, promotional pricing, and overall offer architecture

Price Perception & Market Competitiveness

Manage and improve price perception of the company's offer across key customer segments
Monitor competitive pricing, market trends, and customer feedback to inform pricing decisions
Define and track price perception metrics and translate insights into actionable initiatives

Cross-functional Collaboration

Act as a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Strategy teams
Influence commercial decisions to ensure alignment with pricing and margin objectives
Support trade-off decisions between volume, revenue growth, competitiveness, and margin

Team Management

Motivate and develop team members through goal management, performance reviews, development conversations, mentoring, and succession planning
Partner with senior management on all people-related matters within the function

Key Requirements

Significant experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, commercial strategy, or a related field, preferably in a B2C and/or retail environment
Proven experience in developing and implementing pricing strategies, including pricing models, frameworks, and principles
Strong understanding of the relationship between pricing, customer value, competitiveness, revenue, and margin
Experience leading and developing a team, with a focus on effective delegation, collaboration, and accountability
Experience in managing or coordinating pricing initiatives across products, categories, customer segments, or channels
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data and market insights into clear pricing decisions and recommendations
Proven ability to make decisions, set priorities, and effectively delegate tasks within a team
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to constructively challenge business decisions and defend recommendations
Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Commercial, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams
English proficiency at minimum B2 level
Nice to have: experience in people development, financial controlling, and management reporting
